THE HOROSCOPE HOUSES ASPECTS – continued
The Core Aspects in Astrology
Before carrying on looking at the Houses aspects, to recap, the astrological Natal Wheel (Birth Chart) is divided into 12 houses beginning with the first house, represented by the sign of Aries, and goes clockwise around. The Houses define the specific (exact) areas of our life. They show where we will experience a particular urge and expression style. Each house represents something unique (see below).
The Second House - Is about our possessions, what we have in the material sense.
The Third House - Represents our close relatives', particularly our siblings, affects our lives by proximity and association with brief trips and associated transportation.
The Fourth House - Rules our home base and mother and our real estate and property concerns, domestic issues, private life, and family in general.
The Fifth House – Domain is our creativity and rules our inner child, hobbies, leisure – play, and recreation (all forms of entertainment, including financial speculation).
The Sixth House - Governs work, and our attitude towards diet and health as well as our relation to older relatives, small animals, clothing and the weather
In moving on, we now delve a little more into what the Seventh and Eight House represent.
THE SEVENTH HOUSE – EMOTIONS AND CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS
This house governs committed relationships (best friends, marriage, and business partners) along with the contracts and legal obligations, which often go with relationships of this nature. Lawsuits are also a seventh house area.
The seventh house corresponds to Libra, so any planets in this house function with Libra's underlying flair.
Allied to Venus, in addition to being associated with our emotions and attachments, the seventh house is strongly connected to giving and receiving aspects and balance of power issues.
THE EIGHTH HOUSE – LIFE AND DEATH
Another area the eighth house represents is significant lifestyle changes. Whatever planets fall into this house will be wholly transformed somehow, radically altering our approach to the things represented by that planet/s in the house.
Death and all matters about death belong to the eighth house, and surgery is a further field that falls within its boundary.
Inheritances, other people's money in general, and the spouse's money are also eighth house issues, including support from others both financial and moral and the value system of others
Mysteries, magic, secrets, ulterior motives (inc. the occult), and the investigation of things of this nature all fall under eighth house matters.
The eighth house corresponds to Scorpio, and so any planets in this house function with some underlying flair of Scorpio.
Linked to Mars, in addition to other influences at play (i.e., motivation, survival, and self-interest), this house also governs extreme conditions, drastic changes, and control and power issues.
