The Sixth House - Governs work, and our attitude towards diet and health as well as our relation to older relatives, small animals, clothing and the weather.
The Seventh House - Presides over what other people send out to us based on what we send out, committed relationships, contracts, legal obligations and lawsuits.
The Eight House - Rules our sex, sexual intimacy, lifestyle changes, death, surgery, inheritances, mysteries, magic, secrets and ulterior motives.
Continuing, we now take a closer look at the Ninth and Tenth House.
THE NINTH HOUSE – MORALS AND HIGHER EDUCATION
The ninth house is all about developing the mind, all things related to higher learning (i.e., universities, professors, and continuing education programs.
Further, the ninth house represents the expansion of matters relating to the third house. Life philosophies, religion, spiritual experiences, and ideas about God and our belief systems all come under the ninth house's jurisdiction.
In the ninth house, we also find the ‘great outdoors’ domain, where we can gauge our level of desire to go places and our inclination to get away from it all. Our ‘pull or lack of it’ to travel, visit foreign lands - meet new people, learn languages, or enjoy home life. Other matters that also come under the ninth house's umbrella are sports and athletic pursuits, relations with large animals, and first spouse in-laws. Finally, residing here, we can also include issues relating to courts of law, judges and the judicial system in general.
The ninth house corresponds to Sagittarius, so any planets in this house function with Sagittarius's underlying flair.
Aligned to Jupiter, the ninth house also represents the expansion of anything, wanting freedom, and moral codes and ethics.
THE TENTH HOUSE – CAREER AND AMBITION
Traditional institutions, Government and political aims naturally fall under the realm of the tenth house. The tenth house is the public eye's house instead of the fourth house, our private life.
Many astrologers (some who may disagree) see the tenth house representing our relations with our father, based on the fourth house denoting our mother's relations.
The tenth house corresponds to the sign Capricorn and so any planets in this house function with some underlying flair of Capricorn.
Allied to Saturn, the tenth house also represents taking responsibility and the rewards of resolving karmic issues.
