Poem of the week - Blooms

Floret: Precious Jewel Thou Art

They share our world, content to give, wanting little in return.
They are our constant friends for life.
We indulge in their fragrance; marvel at their beauty, and drink of their radiance.
They seduce us, stirring emotions of happiness, and we exalt in the sheer pleasure of all they give. Moana Grace

In the Language of Flowers
There is a language, little known,
Lovers claim it as their own.
Its symbols smile upon the land,
Wrought by nature’s wondrous hand;
And in their silent beauty speak,
Of life and joy, to those who seek
For Love Divine and sunny hours
In the language of the flowers.

Poem of the Week - Ode to the Tarot

Ode to the Tarot

Friend or enemy!

Tell me the truth, tell me lies.
Madness, ludicrous, die-cast,
  Impelled depth, black hole.

Frightened, a deck of cards but be,
  Hands shake heart races.
She told me to ask a question,
But one or two, no more she said.

Unfamiliar cards lay before,
Past, Present Future to be told!
Answers summoned, sunlit ray,
  A whisper, soft voice.

Champion or Foe!
  Hope ascends.
Expectation, reward unfolds,
  Wisdom speaks, Serenity falls.

Stillness, soothing calm descends,
  Blissful ground.
Yielding, comfort swells within,
  Peace surrounds.

Astrology - A Suggestive Enquiry

Astrology a controversial subject!

You only have to bring up the subject to the Scientist, non-believer or layperson and a fervent argument often pursues about its validity.

When considering that it’s been around for decades what makes it such a touchy area of debate?  Mind you if I read the daily star signs frequently dished out by the media I have to admit I too would be a bit suspect.

Taking a closer look at what lies at its roots, origin, and history, I ask some critical questions to see what I discover and whether perhaps as a society we should adopt a different stance in our approach.  Not be so hard on how we view it, mainly ‘phoney’ fit only for light entertainment.
